I couldn't resist this zesty green King Cole Bamboo Cotton...
I thought it would add a real zing when used with these bright colours I already had (also King Cole Bamboo Cotton)...
Oh, I just love those colours together! What shall I make? I was thinking maybe some colourful crochet coasters?!
I think the green also adds a bit of something when put with a medley of pinks...
So... even though I was stood in my craft room the other day thinking that I really must use up some of these supplies... well, I feel that this addition might just open things up a bit!! Yes, I'll justify it that way!
Now, I just have to pull my finger out and start making!
Lovely zingy colours. Great combination. They look so cheerful together.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet - I'm quite excited about making something colourful with them!
DeleteOh I love the medley of green with the different pinks!!! But, would you be able to use the top right DK yarn with the other bamboo cottons? Forgive me if that's a dumb question.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved how smooth bamboo cotton looks. It also looks like it wouldn't 'ball' after a while. Does that make sense? You know how knitting gets all bally? I promise, I am an adult. I just cannot sentence today.
Also - I'VE STARTED KNITTING AGAIN! I immediately said to Robert, "Oh I simply must tell Maria! This is so exciting", poor guy didn't know where to look :P I only did about 2 lines of knitting though. Giant fail.
Well noticed, young Alex and not a dumb question! That yarn is thicker looking - it's King Cole Cotton Soft instead of Bamboo Cotton. It's 100% cotton, whereas the others are bamboo and cotton, but they are all actually supposedly DK. I think the Cotton Soft is just fluffier and is thicker because of that. I reckon they could be used together, but that pink will look a bit thicker - I guess it depends what I decide to make whether it'll be ok or not. What a long-winded response to your question!
DeleteYes, I also love the smoothness of the bamboo cotton! I made my phone cover with it and I remember at Blogtacular you remarking on the smoothness! I've had that case for over a year and a half and it is still so smooth, without the bobbling/balling of wool. It's a delight, I tell you!
Haha, that made me laugh!!! Robert must have been beside himself with excitement! 2 lines of knitting is still something to be proud of, believe me! What are you making?!
Oh yes!! Like something you can eat! I am so glad you are back thinking crafting again! Cannot wait to see the final result! Oh if you want a translation of the octopus I can write it for you. xx
ReplyDeleteI know, I am feeling rather inspired right now - I must craft again!!
DeleteThat octopus pattern would be much appreciated when you get the chance - thank you! I'll start on some coasters in the meantime I think. A nice colourful quick result! xx
Lovely jolly colours!!!! I like the green, and the pinks, and the combination!!! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy - it's great how bright colours can make you feel cheery and jolly!
